If we do not change our direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed. -- Chinese Proverb
People come into counseling because they want to make changes that will give them a better future. Together we work through problems, decision-making, communication skills, and coping skills. One of my specialties is dialectical behavioral therapy, which helps people change by giving them more options.
Often people come into counseling because they need someone to be there for them during a difficult time. Good counseling provides a healing relationship as they work through their issues. You can expect to be treated with respect, heard with compassion, and protected with clear boundaries.
